Ever seen a stick walking?
Ruby throated female - you don't often see hummingbirds sit still.
We covet cardinals in the winter for their bright red color and put out sunflowers seeds for them but only see them during blizzards.

Monarchs flocking in our Maple tree as they do each autumn.
We didn't get our Christmas decorations down soon enough.  A robin nested in one of the baskets and had four little cheepers.  Needless to say, this particular decoration stayed up until the babies fledged and flew away on their own.  We did get it down before she roosted again and she was a wee bit angry with us.
Butterflies love phlox - as you can tell with this swallowtail.  Photo has been tweaked at the edges with a blur.
